PeaceBang

A New Look for PeaceBang
May 9, 2005 on 1:22 am | In Uncategorized |Yes, I have changed the template for PeaceBang. It’s not pink, but it’s cleaner and I like it. I’m also switching to the much-vaunted Firefox browser. I know nada, zing, zip about all of this computer stuff but Boy In the Bands (Scott) is helping me, and as long as I keep a martini at my side I don’t get too nervous. JK.
To think: I have three working browsers! Some girls don’t have any browsers at all!!
(Note to self: get a working grip on all of this “import/export” stuff.)
Thanks for caring.

But it’s terrible that on my MSN browser the left margin is squished way over to the side. that’s ALL WRONG. but it looks fine in Firefox.

O Man! What the heck is a browser? I know it is wrong, but every time I think I know something comes up like “Foxfire” and then I am confused once more.
Bad blogger…bad!

Just to get a bit extra nerdy on this blogger stuff, Adam, take a deep breath with me. “Peacebang” disappeared off my screen last night and BITB had to scrape me off the floor, long-distance. I don’t know how to save all this writing, but have downloaded most of my archives which I hope works. It seems to work fine, but it occurs to me that unless saving something as an html file virtually “takes a picture of it” for posterity, I’m sunk. I need the saved files, obviously, to stand on their own accord if Blogger blows up PeaceBang.
I think it’s time for help from the CSO!!
Anyway, Adam dear, a browser is just a thing that lets you look on the internet. I bet you have Internet Explorer right now. Firefox is cool for many reasons that will mean nothing to me until I learn a lot more about how to take all my MSN settings (”Favorites,” e-mail settings, etc.) and export them to Firefox.
My margin situation got fixed when I added a new posting, but I was curious if everyone else out there in PeaceBang land were able to view it accurately from the get go.

Peacebang disappeared for a day or so a few days back. I was sad.

I was sad, too! But I backed up all the posts and they’re safe on a disk to be inconsequential for all time, but I’m still glad I have ‘em.
