I have some folks at my church who like to use those words to describe anything they dont like, dont want to think too much about or, or that makes them uncomfortable. It's just so conversation stopping - I really have to work hard not to get into one of those "it is not!" "it is SO!" "it is NOT!" conversations. I made a conscious decision to say “Happy Holidays” when I started working in retail however many years ago now. I just think it makes more sense since a number of people will not be celebrating Christmas but some other holiday. This way, hopefully, no one will feel left out.
