Lena Horne Does Miracles
April 27, 2007 on 1:25 am | In Cultural Commentary, Inspirations |I went for a walk today and listened to Lena Horne sing, “That’s What Miracles Are All About” several times in a row.
For three minutes and fifty-eight seconds of pure bliss, you can get it from i-Tunes for .99.
“The very fact
there’s you and me,
that’s what miracles are all about.”
I can’t tell you how much the entire album, “Lena Horne: The Lady And Her Music” has meant to me since I first heard it in 1982.
Get it, you hear?

I have, for as long as I can remember, always been in awe of Lena Horne.
“That’s What Miracles Are All About” is a wonderful song, but anything after “Stormy Weather” is just gravy.
