I also really missed seeing the hand of fellowship offered to our newest ministers...I think that makes all of us hopeful, and that we were not able to bear witness to it removed something vital from the Service of the Living Tradition... Good things about GA: ministry days (programs were SO good), and connecting with friends from around the country... Can we get a link to Rev. Shade's sermon for the Communion service? It was, to my knowledge, that biggest single turnout for communion service we have had at a GA. At least 161. The only GAs when we have had more at communion was last year when we had two services due to being able to get repeat programming. People were still talking to me about it the next day, and with tears in their eyes, as well as from colleagues who also had tears in their eyes but also with admiration and esteem for a deep worshipful gathering. The sermon is only a part of the thing, of course, but I look forward to our publishing Tom's text in the next issue of the Good News, and hope folks will want to get a copy.
