He Lived The American Dream, Except Without the Integrity Part

August 27, 2007 on 9:47 pm | In Cultural Commentary, Random Rant |

I threw up a little in my mouth when Bush said that it was a shame that Gonzalez’s name has been “dragged through the mud for political purposes.”
Right. Because crapping all over the Constitution isn’t a valid reason to lambaste a public leader. Must just be unfounded orneriness.

My blood pressure goes up when I read too much about this, but it’s certainly good news.

God bless America, indeed.

  1. Indeed!

My only regret is that the announcement was too late to organize a block party in celebration.

Perhaps on the seventeenth - just to be sure.

  2. I swear, DC is it’s own little universe where time and space and the laws of physics (or common sense) are non-existent.

  3. I’m hearing lots of similar sentiments as yours PB, in both face to face and internet conversations. It’s good to hear you speak in unrestrained tones about this. I believe history will not be kind to the Bush II administration. And justly so. The wall appears to be crumbling, with Gonzales, Libby, Rove, Powell, all taking the heat for “W.”.

Here’s hoping we can eventually regain some of the liberties we’ve all lost as a result of Bush II and the inept, paranoid “leaders” we expected to run the country competently.

P.S. All reading this: Don’t forget to check your phone for wiretaps ;)
