Why thank you, darling. Maya Pavlova is suddenly a famous diva of the blogosphere thanks to you. And how very sweet and divine of Madame Ermengarde to extend the White Paw of Fellowship.

I have a Maya, too! Only mine is a black Labrador Retriever puppy ten weeks old. In keeping with the poet theme (Berry is named after Wendell Berry), we named her after Maya Angelou.
These are stressful times, what with trying to get the church launched for Fall, preparing for a sabbatical trip to Crete and Turkey, and chasing an unhousebroken puppy around. Maybe some day I will write about her on my own blog and post some pictures. She is approximately the cutest puppy known to humankind.
