We all walk the spiritual path of Ebenezer Scrooge -- we start with "Bah Humbug" and end up shouting "God Bless Us All - Every One!". You can count on the Advent magic.

Our two cats don’t seem to get that it’s in their interest to be on their very best behavior at Christmastime.

They whack the tree ornaments, nibble on the greenery, and frolic in ribbons and wrapping paper.

Two Decembers ago one managed to open a parcel package sent to us, to get at the few candy kisses sprinkled in with the presents. Chocolate isn't good for cats, but she has a nose for it. The remnants of that little escapade were foil wrappers scattered near the gnawed cardboard and a glop of chocolate throw-up in the middle of our new carpet, by the Christmas tree.

So it’s doubtful stockings will be hung for them, but they probably will get a few undeserved catnip toys. [NAUGH-TY!! But I bet they're really cute. - PB]
