Darth Vader Would Like To Light A Candle of Concern
May 14, 2008 on 1:03 pm | In Cultural Commentary, Joys and Concerns, Just Funny |So we can conclude a few things from this article.
One, it’s never a good idea to drink that much boxed wine.
Two, there were way more people in Britian in 2001 who identified their religion as Jedi than there are Unitarian Universalists on membership rolls right now in congregations in the entire world.
May the Force be with you.

True, but on our Census of the same year, 629,000 people identified themselves as Unitarian Universalist.

That’s right. I’ll bet there are even fewer enrolled members of Jedi congregations than UU ones.

What? You mean to tell me that Jedi Knight is not one of the many religions UUs can draw from to express their faith?
I’m sooooo crushed! And I was going to lead a lay-led service based on the principals taught by the great Master Obi Wan Kenobi next Sunday… =)

And didn’t you hear? The Pope has just decreed that it
doesnt go against your faith in God to believe in aliens! =) I guess that’s good for me, being Mars Girl and all.

He gave into the Dark Side of the Force, dont you see?
He couldnt help himself. It’s the Jedi equivelant of “The Devil made me do it.”

More inspiration for church-planting for me. The Jedis can manage a church of 30 people in Anglesey, and there’s no Unitarian church there, or even in all or North Wales.

Being the Force One and not Three, I do not see any objection to include “The teachings and wisdom from Jedi Masters of the Galactic Republic that encourage us to be in harmony with the all-pervading Force and reject the hate and fear that lead to the Dark Side” as our Seventh Source.
