Boy In the Bands on the P & P Revisions
September 7, 2008 on 11:31 pm | In Unitarian Universalism |I kind of hope we can stay with this for awhile, and I encourage you to read the draft and to send your feedback to the Commission on Appraisal. Here’s what BITB has to say about the revision.
And then, of course, you shouldn’t miss the Mr. Crankypants version. For reals.

I remember that a number of us were appreciative of Mr. Crankypants’ version, back when it was posted.
I offered a version (actually, a couple, over some months), inspired by that:

OK, I need to read Mr. C’s version, but first I wanted to share my ire! Some of the UU churches in my area are offering a version of “Exploring our Divorsity” workshops, and one minister even admitted in the newsletter that he’s tired of people asking what Unitarian’s believe in and not having an acceptable answer.
So what??? Do we walk this path only if outsiders give us their approval? Do we need validation from those who really ask to be told what to believe? How about our old creed that said we’re build on Judeo/Christian beliefs? I first heard that in the “5 Big Questions” workshop/class and nearly blew my cool.
I’m a Unitarian because I’m a seeker of What Is, a searcher of some understanding beyond what I have now. I make apologies and explanations to no one. And, folks, that’s why I’m a Unitarian!
OK, now I’ll go read Mr. C’s comments - not that mine weren’t cranky enough:)
