(Almost) Friday Dog Blogging
September 10, 2008 on 11:18 pm | In Max Blogging |I occasionally hire a wonderful dog walker to care for Max when I’ll be away all day. Her name is Kathy, her business is called “For the Love of Dogs,” and she really means it. She actually sends me e-mails to see how Max is progressing in his training, she takes photos of him from their walks, and she leaves detailed reports of their time together.
This past week, Kathy asked if she could walk Max with another dog and I said sure, as long as she could manage two at a time. Max is great with other dogs but I once tried walking him and one of his friends at the same time and almost got taken on a muddy slide on my back across the yard, so I give props to the dog walking pros who can handle a fistful of leashes with various sniffing, pulling, pooping and peeing beasts on the other end.
This is Max and Chi-Chi, post-walk, which is why their tongues are comically huge.
Chi Chi is a real dog. She is not a cartoon that I photoshopped in.
I know it’s a sombre day of remembrance in a matter of minutes, but it’s okay to laugh. I think Chi Chi would want you to. Doesn’t she just look like her entire existence is about making everyone happy?

Awww… I call that look a doggie smile!
My dad and I always laugh when his dogs look like that. We’ll say, “Hey, look, he’s smiling.” =)
How precious! Those are certainly some very happy dogs!
