PeaceBang
The manic mind of the minister -- Auntie Mame Meets Cotton Mather. Blogging about Unitarian Universalism, UU Christian spiritual practice, occasional cultural and political ravings, and the inner life of ministry. PeaceBang is the alter ego of a small town pastor serving an historic New England Unitarian Universalist congregation.
Leavin’ On a Jet Plane…
January 8, 2009 on 9:52 am | In Uncategorized |… but I do know when I’ll be back again. February 20 or thereabouts.
I am leaving on Friday morning for six + weeks away, the first leg of my sabbatical journeys. I’ll be the visiting minister to the UU Fellowship in Amarillo, Texas for three weeks, and then I head down to San Juan del Sur in Nicaragua for two weeks of language school followed by ten days of travel.
I will be blogging — I may even have a separate sabbatical blog — but that’s all in the works.
Max and Ermengarde are safely stashed at friends’ houses and I was able to get a wonderful night’s sleep without Adventures With Bed-Hogging Beagle (ever been kicked in the chest by a hind paw when you’re sound asleep? That dog’s been taking kickboxing, I swear!) or Accidental Rolling Over Onto Warm Fat Tabby Cat Who Then Whines and Loudly Thumps to the Floor.
Of course I missed them.
Be well. I’ll be PeaceBanging again soon. xoxo
