I love this statement of relationship between Church and the arts that I found on the Greenpoint Reformed Church’s website today. More churches need to do this. It’s not just theologically sound but plain smart. Arts organizations often need a home base. Churches often need good, trustworthy renters or tenants.
This congregation is located in Brooklyn. Smart move. Share the building, generate good spirit together, become a place people associate with transcendence and ritual. Right on.
